These policies cover nimalusims.com, the Trait Generator (traits.nimalusims.com), and the custom content Nimalu Sims makes. Nimalu Sims is fan-made content and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts or The Sims™.
I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the tools. Here's the whole picture.
What I collect
Patreon connection. When you link Patreon to unlock tier features, I receive your Patreon user ID and your membership tier. I use secure sign-in (OAuth) — I never see or store your Patreon password.
Usage counts. I keep a running count of how many traits or lot traits you generate, so tier limits work and the tool isn't abused.
Images you upload. Icons you upload are processed in memory to build your .package file and handed back to you. They are not stored on the server after your download is built.
Your browser's local storage. The generator saves a draft of your in-progress trait on your own device so you don't lose work. That draft never leaves your browser.
What I don't do
I don't sell your data. Ever.
I don't run advertising trackers.
I don't collect your email or payment details — Patreon handles all payments and I never see your card.
Services I rely on
Running the site means trusting a few well-known providers: Patreon (sign-in & memberships), Vercel (hosting), and Cloudflare (delivery & security). Their own privacy policies apply to the data they handle.
Your choices
You can disconnect Patreon at any time from your Patreon account. To ask what's associated with your Patreon ID or to request deletion, contact me (below). You can clear your saved draft any time by clearing your browser storage for the site.
Children
These tools aren't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their data.

What you can do
Use the Trait Generator and any Nimalu Sims custom content in your own game, freely.
The traits and content you create are yours to enjoy and share as your own creations.
Please don't
Re-host, resell, or paywall the Trait Generator itself, or claim the tool as your own.
Try to bypass tier limits, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Use the tools to create hateful, harassing, or illegal content.
Patreon tiers
Some features unlock through Patreon tiers. Tier benefits and limits may change over time as the tools grow. Payments, refunds, and billing are handled entirely by Patreon under their terms.
As-is
Everything here is provided as is, without warranty. Custom content and script mods can conflict with game updates or other mods; you install and use them at your own risk. I'm not liable for lost saves, game issues, or other damages — always keep backups.
Fan content
The Sims™ and its logos are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc. Nimalu Sims is independent, unofficial fan-made content and is not affiliated with or endorsed by EA.
Security
Encrypted everywhere. The whole site is served over HTTPS.
No passwords stored. Sign-in uses Patreon OAuth, so your credentials never touch my servers.
Minimal footprint. I collect as little as possible, and uploaded images are processed transiently and not retained.
Trusted hosting. The tools run on Vercel behind Cloudflare, with their standard network and DDoS protections.
Responsible disclosure. Found a security issue? Please report it privately (below) before disclosing publicly, and I'll fix it as fast as I can.
